I need your help.
I am about to launch my latest project, The Yellow Letter. It is going to be a humdinger if I can figure out the logistics. What is a humdinger?
I work with entrepreneurs every day. I have coached hundreds of them over the years. My dad taught me how to make money when I was nine years old. That fool was a wiz at making money. He was also a wiz at drinking vodka out of plastic bottles. He lost all his money, and the vodka killed him. You win a few, you lose a few.
Anyway, I love creating new businesses. And so, the next thing is The Yellow Letter.
I am curious and passionate about human connection. I am fascinated with loneliness. I believe the biggest problem people face is connection. Everyone wants someone. A lover, a friend, a mentor, a whatever. Perhaps I can help.
I gave a keynote last week about adventure and connection to a group of executives at a large company in Atlanta. I told them that to grow, we have to always have a sense of adventure. Not a Mt. Everest type of adventure, but daily and weekly adventures. Challenges. Surprises. Excitement. Awe.
I believe there are three ways to assure we never lose our sense of adventure:
Try new things.
See new places.
Meet new people.
Boom. Nuff said. Get that tattooed on your chest.
If we do those three things, we grow. We become interesting people. We find each other. We stumble upon our passions.
So, I am looking for unique people to interview who live interesting lives. People who have wild stories or live differently than the rest of us. People I can talk to and report back to you guys what it's like to be them.
Number one on my list right now is Shaq. I am not a basketball fan, but that monster is now an EDM DJ, owns a ton of franchises and is hilarious. A dude doing what he wants to do. Fantastic.
Anyway, I hear he has a farm south of Atlanta. I want to hang out with him on that farm and ask him about life.
Other people I would love to interview:
Pablo Escobar’s Brother or Son
A Delta Airlines Pilot
A Mortician
A Homeless Heroin couple
Exorcism Priest
Post Malone
The oldest person in Georgia
CEO of Coke
Ghislaine Maxwell
Tunnel Motel owner (New Jersey)
Tiger King
Merle Allin - GG Allin’s brother
Mark Laita - Soft White Underbelly
DJ Jazzy Jeff
Marshmello
The owner or manager of Magic City
A Dancer from Magic City
Lil Baby
The CEO of TikTok
2 Chains
And so on… you get the idea.
So, if you know any interesting people who might be willing to hang out with me for an hour or so, let me know. I owe ya.
The Yellow Letter is coming soon.
