I coach 52 entrepreneurs every month. Can you imagine? I help them build their personal brand. Can you imagine? I think I have logged a trillion Zoom hours. Can you imagine? Amen.
One is in New Zealand. One is in Rwanda. Two are in Australia. One is in Uganda. A bucket of them are in the US. One is in Mexico. Wait, three are in Mexico. One is in Venezuela.
Authors, speakers, entrepreneurs, coaches, influencers…people.
People with stories. Stories with messages.
Ex-cult members, Harvard grads, healers, tech gurus, millionaires, and hundredaires. Different strokes for different folks.
What I keep learning from them is….
Clarity is the key to success. And by God who doesn’t want to be wildly successful? Amen. (Peyton that was a call back).
Well, there are a bunch of keys like the keys in that drawer you have with a hundred keys that don’t go to anything but you are scared to throw those keys away. I just changed the locks on one of my rental properties this morning and have a keychain with 27 keys to that very house. Mind you I just changed the locks and thus have the current, brand new keys right out of the package. Did I throw the other keys away? Of course not. That would only make sense.
Anyway…
Clarity is the key to success. Most people I work with who know exactly what they want, get it. Personally, I have never known exactly what I want. I am too indecisive, noncommital, and always attracted to the shiny penny. I am an idea factory. Eh, whatever.
Next month I am headed to Puerto Rico with my DISASTERmind peeps where we will lock ourselves in an AirBnB for two days and search for clarity. Clarity about one new business idea or creative project each. We do this four times a year. A traveling mastermind. I think I will focus on figuring out the concept for my next book or a new business idea I have around love. The rule? NO MORE EFFIN IDEAS.
What do you do in order to figure out what you want? Do you have a mastermind? Do you journal? Do you call the psychic hotline? Do you even care? Eh, whatever.
What EXACTLY do you want?
