I am getting closer to growing a mullet. Slowly but surely. As you clearly remember, growing a mullet was number 4 on my New Year's resolutions list.
Because my ADHD is going ham, I have decided to start a new Sunday section of my glorious newsletter. Truth be told, I have set a goal to have 10,000 subscribers so I can live the life of my dreams. How close am I to 10,000 subscribers? Not very. Not very at all.
So, I am going to test a new format that will include my normal weekly post which will always be free then a couple of new sections like this one on Sundays. I am also going to rename my newsletter ‘Outskirts of the Ordinary'. Once again, ADHD. Blah, blah, blah.
Lesson 1: “If you want to grow a personal brand, write every morning”
Davie Fogerty, an Australian dude who is more handsome, rich, and young than I, made a bazillion dollars in E-commerce selling blanket sweater gizmos to everybody on earth. Now he knows everything about everything. He said if you want to grow your personal brand, write every morning. If you want to lose weight, workout every morning. And so on.
So, I am going to write every morning which will be another new section of this newsletter I send out Monday - Friday. It is going to be a short paragraph of my deepest thoughts. That should be a mess. Stay tuned.
Lesson 2: Avacado oil is healthier to cook with than Olive Oil
I saw some chef say something about avocado oil having a lower burn temperature than olive oil. He said if it smokes when you cook, it is bad. Hell, I almost caught the entire kitchen on fire a month ago when I tried to cook a steak on the stovetop for the first time. The pan caught on fire.
Somewhat unrelated but related, I am going to try and make this thing just to see if I can do it and further support future diabetes:
I wonder if I can use avocado oil.
Finally, I follow a business coach with more energy than a gallon of Adderall. He claims that the most successful people on earth (the top 1%) have five common characteristics.
The 5 characteristics of the 1 % are:
Remarkable Boldness
Intrinsic Motivation
Connection - they treat everyone like family
Grit & Resilience
The ability to see things to completion
How do I score on those five? Low.
However, each morning I look at this list of superpowers and decide which number I need the most for the day. Then I write it down on the top of my to-do list for the day.
There you go. Make it a great week. Monday starts week 8 or 52 this year.
Trey
Also, if you have any friends who can read, I would be honored if you shared this newsletter with them so they can join (see yellow button below).
