My single goal for March is to learn how to spell the word ‘entrepreneur’.
Well, that and ASK QUESTIONS. A stretch goal, if you will. I need to ask more questions; I tend to shut down, hesitate, and stay quiet when other humans are around. This must change if I want to be filthy rich. And my God, do I want to be filthy rich. I am talking about Whoopi Goldberg-rich.
February was a good month. Nobody can spell ‘February’.
I am in a hipster coffee shop and there is a red miniature poodle under the table sniffing my legs. The owner, a gal with headphones and a fancy journal from Target, is sitting catty corner to me. The dog, Winston, is wearing a red sweater - a red sweater on a red poodle? Who in their right mind?
There is a homeless man to my left staring into space. It is pouring outside so I am glad he is in here. I bet his socks are atrocious.
February was a good month. I got a colonoscopy, helped people build personal brands, and downloaded nine to-do apps on my phone. I ate pizza on Valentine’s Day, cooked a steak on a grill for the first time, and went to an Oddity & Curiosity Expo. I took Mom to Longhorn Steak House. She gets the Flo’s Filet and a loaded baked potato. I have not eaten potatoes this year. She has.
One thing that worked for me this past month was the accountability from my Mastermind group. I am trying to learn how to set goals at the ripe old age of 50. So, at my Mastermind in January, we each set 9 goals. One of mine was getting a colonoscopy. Goal achieved. I guess I should create a success course now.
Our next Mastermind is in Medellin, Colombia. Why? Because I like coffee and want to try and connect with Pablo Escobar’s brother for my next book.
Anyway…
I am excited about March. I am setting new goals and deleting eight of those to-do apps. I am going to try the Pomodoro time-blocking method to get my brain to focus for once. Oh, and thinking of new adventures. A few things currently rattling around in my brain:
Trying the carnivore diet for 30 days
Fasting for 5 days
Camping alone without a phone and just paper and a pen
Attending some long mediation session somewhere in Atlanta.
Flying a kite at the park. I have never flown a kite.
Finding someplace to volunteer that is unusual
Going to a rave
Oh, a rave would be fun. Hmm….if you are in Atlanta and know about a rave, let me know. Do raves still exist?
A few business ideas:
Open a coffee shop
Start a line of stationery
Open a boutique plant store
Open my mastermind to other people
Create screenplay for my love story
Oh, and I am starting a new section in this newsletter where I am going to send one of these juicy chronicles Monday - Friday. It will be short and interesting. If you like how I write, well, sign up. It is the paid version of this newsletter so whip out your checkbook grandma.
Ah, life.
Here is my advice to you since you didn’t ask. Today begins a new month. Decide to go all in on one thing, one theme, or one skill for the next 31 days. One, not two or twenty. One singular focus and give it absolute hell.
Then pull out a sheet of paper and consume 200 milligrams of caffeine. Next, write down 50 things you could try that you have never tried in the next 31 days. Don’t think, just write. Then take a walk. When you get back, circle three of them and now you have your March adventure goals.

You haven't flown a kite!? You need to get out there and go fly a kite. (cue Mary Poppins)
