Is Imposter Syndrome Real?
Why would anyone want to read this?
I ask myself that a million times as I write these things.
What should I write about?
I ask myself that a billion times when writing these things.
This sucks.
I tell myself that the entire time I write these things.
Perhaps writing or drawing or businessing or painting or tennis comes easy for you. Perhaps it is effortless. Lucky bastard…
Imposter Syndrome - the persistent inability to believe that one's success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one's own efforts or skills.
(Just keep typing, something will come. Just keep typing)
I wonder if imposter syndrome is bad? Perhaps, anyone who tries to do something for the first time experiences imposter syndrome? Naturally, they have never done the thing before so what is wrong with that?
(What if this sucks? What if I sound stupid? What if they don’t like it?)
Maybe we call it “newness syndrome” or “rookie syndrome” or “try new things syndrome”?
Maybe we call it “make art syndrome” or “give it a shot syndrome” or “Who gives a f*ck what they think syndrome”?
If we believe in imposter syndrome, we will never become great.
I will not become a good writer until I have written. You will not become a good mother until you have mothered. They will not become good CEOs until they have become CEOs.
(Keep writing, just keep writing)
